Illingworth Liberal Club have a games committee who do a fantastic job of raising funds, running race trips, organising knockout competitions and a whole host of other events for the benefit of the club. Out of the funds they raise they pay for, example, the up-keeping of the club snooker tables, which are in excellent condition, supplying new dart boards, and recently they carpeted the snooker table surround’s etc. Heading the team for many years is Derek Smith a fine ambassador for our club who deserves a big thank you, so too do the assistants like Brian Baxter ( another fine ambassador ), Andy Birkhead, Paul Lindsey, Paul Curry, and over the years many other members have helped out and got involved in this cause. Also we would like to thank all our snooker player’s far too many to mention here. So a big thank you goes to all these men and women. These people work along side and with the main Committee to ensure the club runs very smoothly and that the games nights are run in a proper manner. Illingworth Liberal Clubs main committee also work very hard to keep the club working so smoothly and making it such an enjoyable place for members and guests to socialise and play sports in. We would like to thank them too.
